APBA Experience:

I am 60 yrs old (ugh) and was introduced to APBA in college in 1970 (drafted from the '64 season). I have managed several leagues and am currently also a member of the Super 60's league. I currently live in Ypsilanti, MI, but was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago and spent many-a-day in the bleachers at old Comiskey Park! I am a life-long White Sox fan, hate the Cubs, and avoid the National League like the plague!!! As a child I used to cut Red Farber's grass, was a neighbor to Terry Forester, visited Pete Ward's apartment with my Aunt and punted a softball into the infield at the old Brewers Park during the 7th inning stretch that was fielded by Robin Yount. I also was in a bar with both Ron Santo and Bill Melton at the same time, and they bought me drinks!! Yes, I am a baseball junkie!

Commish's Note:

A franchise that’s fallen on hard times since Joe Altobelli left in 2008. Joe was brought into the league on the recommendation of 'Trader' Ed Nageotte. Now, Joe has gone the way of Ed, after nine very successful years. Maybe one day, he’ll throw us all a celebration concert for his three titles. For more information, just Google ‘In Harms Way band.’
