In Memoriam: Fran Costello was a founding owner of NXPL. He was a well-liked and well-respected owner who loved his Phils. We lost Fran in March of 2017.
Francis M. Costello, 68, of Hatfield, husband of Wanda S., passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, March 26, 2017 with his family by his side. Born January 9, 1949 in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of the late Francis J. and the late Corinne (nee Hamilton) Costello. Francis was a 1966 graduate of Saint Joseph’s Preparatory School in Philadelphia, a 1970 graduate of Saint Joseph’s University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree, and a 1973 graduate of Rutgers University where he received his Master’s Degree in Environmental Science. In 1981 he then received his second Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Temple University. Francis was a longtime employee of the United States Government, serving with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission prior to his retirement in 2007. After retiring from the N.R.C. he then went to work for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, with the Environmental Protection Agency, until the time of his death. Francis was an avid fan of all of the Philadelphia Sports teams, and he will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He is also survived by his loving children, Michael (Kristin), and Mary Frances (Mark) and his beloved grandchildren, Kayleigh, Aislynn, Chase, and Dylan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 30 S. 17th Street, #8, Philadelphia, PA 19103, and would be deeply appreciated by his family |
